Vase, Europe, Early 20th Century
An elegant glass vase with a subtle smoky tint, crafted in the early 20th century, most likely by one of the Bohemian glassworks. The form is classic, with a graceful transition from a narrow neck to a rounded body. The surface is decorated with fine engraved floral motifs and a gilded rim along the edge. Despite its age, the glass has retained its clarity and characteristic brilliance.
Light signs of time are visible on the body — tiny chips along the lower edge and slight wear of the gilding — which emphasize its authenticity and natural patina. The base bears a mould number and a partially preserved maker’s mark, indicating hand production typical of Bohemian workshops from the first third of the 20th century.
The piece would complement interiors in Art Nouveau, Art Deco, or classic styles, serving as a refined decorative accent on a console or in a display cabinet. Thanks to its balanced proportions, the vase works equally well as a standalone object or as part of a set.
